I must excuse myself for the past few days. I haven't been taken alot of photos as I've been a bit busy. Yesterday, whilst walking to my daughter's school of ballet I noticed the colours of these balconies and snapped a shot. I hope you like them too.

L' Ghasfur tal-Bejt (the sparrow)

I know I have already posted a photo of this bird (which was taken by Laetitia), but I wanted to try out my new toy (my husband got me a new camera!). Being so busy these past few days I only managed to get a few photos. The photo was taken from my study overlooking into the internal yard of the apartments.

The Creation of ....... part 4

This is the cake covered with the marzipan. Like Alifan we also cover the cake with apricot jam before placing the marzipan. Today we shall continue with the decoration and we should finish it. I say we because my friend Laetitia is helping me.(reason: I made these artificial nails for the party and even though they look very pretty they are (for me) hard to handle, I keep on having typing errors and can't work the sugar paste well).

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you my friend Laetitia.

As promised I have posted the recipe for this cake on mydailylife blog link at the side bars.

The Creation of .......

Sunday coming here in Birzebbuga a group of 7 year old girls and boys will be celebrating Holy Communion. As a celebration families either go out to eat in a nice restaurant or have a party at home. It is a must to have a cake at a party and this photo represents part of this cake. These are sugar paste leaves. Last year my friend Laetitia and I attended a course on cake decorating and sugar crafts. These leaves were made by Laetitia. My daughter and Laetitia's niece will be celebrating their communion so we are preparing two cakes....more photos will follow this week.

Valletta Buses - 2007

This is where buses coming from all over the island finish their journey. So for example if one wants to go to Mellieha (northern part of Malta) from Birzebbuga (southern part ) one has to take a bus up to Valletta and then change for the bus going to Mellieha!!
