The Lower 'Barrakka' Gardens

There are two monuments in the lower gardens, one dedicated to Alexander Ball and another in remembrance of the Great Siege of Malta.

This is a beautiful photograph. I like the canons. It kind of reminded me of the fort at St. Augustine, Florida. They also fire their canon off at Noon each day. Their view is not so spectactular as your view.

Keep them coming Dina, I will get around to scanning some of the old black and whites,.. it is making me want to see it all again, even if we did leave in 1959.....

Beautiful shot! This makes me feel so sad because I didn't take any photos when I was in those gardens in May 1999 (only video and not that interesting)... And the weather was also as nice as in your picture!
