Snow in Malta ??? now is that possible or not?? Of course not, however fields in Victoria, Gozo, were this morning blanketed in white after a freak hailstorm hit the sister island at around 6 a.m.
A reader told timesofmalta.com that upon looking out of the window soon after she woke up, she saw all the fields in front of her covered with hail. It wasn't snow - it says in the caption that it was hail. Only once in living memory did we have snow, because insular climactic conditions, and the fact that we are in a closed sea, makes snow a
quasi-impossible occurrence.
Zxcvbnm, i take it you are from Malta right? personally i do not remember this event so maybe you can fill me in.
Never any guarantee with the weather!
If I lived on Malta I would have to take an occasional trip to play in the snow. It would be hard to live without one of natures wonders.
