New President for Malta
Dr. George Abela will take the oath of Office as President of Malta today at noon in a special sitting of Parliament in the Grand council chamber of the President's Palace. George Abela will be the eighth President of the Republic of Malta.
I love these ceremonies, mostly to see the hats which are worn by the ladies present for the occassion. The first lady as from today was very elegantly dressed and also the prime minister's wife. They did us, the maltese, proud today! Me and the kids went to see the parade and got to wave to the new president and his first lady!
