Mdina

This is a typical medieval town situated in the center of the island. 'The Silent City' as it is known, commands a magnificent view of the island. It's origin can be traced back 5,000 years. There was certainly a bronze age village on the site. It is one of the few remainng renaisannce fortified cities in Europe and unique in many ways.
