L' Ghasfur tal-Bejt (the sparrow)

I know I have already posted a photo of this bird (which was taken by Laetitia), but I wanted to try out my new toy (my husband got me a new camera!). Being so busy these past few days I only managed to get a few photos. The photo was taken from my study overlooking into the internal yard of the apartments.

This reminds me of my 1st visit to Malta in 1992 after being away 41 years. The first morning at Bbuga I noticed these sparrows going into the house ventilators on the outside walls to nest.

I totally forgot they do that in Malta. As kids we used to get up to the ventilators to catch the young sparrows. Kid's play or trying to break a leg.

It looks like a Tree Sparrow. It is a nice shot. What kind of camera did you get?

I didn't do much today but...

I did write about how people used to wear long underwear over winter or until we began to stink. You can find the link at the bottom of the post today.

I thought this bird was made of wood at first with the color but then realized it's real.

He's so cute! I've enjoyed scrolling through your photos from the last few days. The communion photos are beautiful. It was great to read about it too. And your cake looked delicious!
