L'Imnarja - 2

Some more photos from yesterday's trip to Buskett Gardens. The first photo is of the 'Imqaret' , traditional Maltese sweets made out of dates. The basic shape is a square piece of pastry filled with dates and deep fried. These dates delicacies are usually bought from stalls at open air markets. Then you can see some of our local tomatoes and the girl with the pony.

Very nice photos and the explanation of the sweets was interesting. My tomatoes are not yet ripe but your photo is a reminder that I will soon have tomatoes to eat.

I hope you have a nice weekend.

Dina, I'll pass on the sweets -- I limit my numbers there, but the tomatoes -- don't know where I got such a passion for tomatoes, but those look delicious.

I'm still talking about porches today with a more familiar and smaller porch. I will finish up tomorrow with a tale of my "virtual" porch. You won't want to miss it.

The sweets with dates sounds interesting. I must try that somehow!

I trust that the tomatoes are really local (not from Holland?)? They look so perfect!

I understand you had some nice morning hours!.
