The Selmun Palace

The Selmun Palace Coralia was built for the Knights of the order of St.John in 1783. It's Military seige architecture was then transformed into a peaceful haven known as the Grand Hotel Mercure, located in the northern part of the island very close to Mellieha and St.Paul's Bay.

Its wonderful. I guess Malta is a paradise for movie makers who are searching for places for middle ages scenes.

We have a hotel of the same name. Not half as grand as yours!!! Nicely done.

I'm convinced that this is a place to visit, soon. It must be marvelous to live in the midst of all these ancient forms.

Malta is very rich in history yes and there are lots more sites for me to capture with my camera and show you.

I love your site and enjoy trying to remember the places. I lived in Birzebugga in the mid 70's as a child. I visited there last month but did not get to see my old home. Malta is a lovely place. I will keep watching. Great work.

Crikey!

Whata great historic scene, nicely captured (probably more than once!)
