St.Peter's Parish Church
This week is our village feast, dedicated to St.Peter. This is our local church all lit up for this special occassion. I took this photo yesterday evening after the statue of St.Peter was taken out for a procession as a start to the celebrations.
Hi, do you know that here in Trier the Parish church is dedicated to St. PEter's too?!! There is even a statue of St.Peter in the centre. Hope you are all well and great Photo.
travelphilippines - I have never heard of this saint, one always learns something new thankks to d.p.
peter - glad you like it, I wish you could see my husband's face everytime I tell him I need to take a photo for d.p!!! 29th June ifs St.Peter & St.Paul's feast together, but don't ask me why as I have no idea?
Nadine - we are all well thanks, my last email to you failed to be delivered!
On my first visit to Birzebbuga Oct 1992, I asked to Parish priest if he would allow me to go right up to the very top where the bells are hung. He said OK but after the 9am Mass. So I walked up all the steps, I think I counted 160 steps. Had to stop for a rest twice. When I got up by the bells I took about 20 photos of the village. Fantastic views. You could see all the Marsaxlokk Bay and St Georges Bay. Still have the pics. I may show them in my Ptetty Bay Site.
This photo brings back very nice memories for me as I celebrated your feast 21 years ago as well when i was visiting Birzebugia for the first time we'll be back (my sixt time) in two weeks a shame we'll be to late for the festa

wow your church is very beautiful. our patron saint is saint labrador.
A different way of lightening up a church! I like it, at least how it's done on this church! St. Peter; normally it should be June 29th?
