It's the eve of ........
Luke: 2
.........Mary's baby was due to be born at any moment and she was exhausted. After travelling for many days and nights, they finally reached the little town of Bethlehem. The inns were full and it seemed that there was no place for them. Mary looked so tired at one inn, that the innkeeper felt sorry for her and offered Joseph his stable. The stable was full of animals and very smelly and dirty, but at least it was somewhere for Mary to rest. Mary gave birth to her son that very night. She wrapped him warmly, in strips of cloth and laid him gently in a manger to sleep.

Valletta bus terminus
This is the Valletta bus terminus, buses from all over Malta start their journey from here and end up at the destination town or vice versa, the terminus is bigger but I could not get a better shot as I was standing in the middle of the road trying to get both buses and the fountain which is found in the centre.

Gas Division
This is what was standing behind me from where I took yesterday's photo. Gas in Malta has been introduced more than 40 years before the electricity was. The first company was in 1867, Malta and Mediterrean Gas Co, and was found in Marsa and Cottonera. This plant was then built in 1959. Gas has been imported via ships and then re bottled to be distributed in each home. It is used mainly for cookers , heaters and water boilers (domestically) and is now run by www.enemalta.com.mt

Chapel No. 2 'San Gorg'
This church St. Georges (in english) reminds us when in older times, the Turkish embarked in Malta. The entrance to th is chapel is on the other side of the road, where once there was a pond. This pond during attacks from outsiders the maltese would cut off communication by lifting the pond. I was also experimenting with picasa that's why the sky looks orange!!!!

Village square - ''Misrah San Gakbu'
Hello everyone, I could not blog yesterday. I was kept overnight in hospital with my daughter. Obviously now being so into blogging I had to take pictures of the room and also of the square infront of the hospital. This is not the general hospital of Malta, it's a small hospital www.stjameshospital.com .
The statue here is of 'San Gakbu' and is found in the square opposite the hospital.
