Yesterday my family and I went on a day trip to the Island of Gozo. This gave me an opportunity to get some photos of the northern part of the Island and Gozo itself. The weather was very hot and humid in the morning and lense of the camera kept getting foggy!! These two photos taken from Mellieha showing the landscape and country side of the northern part of malta.
Info. Birzebbugia is at the southern end of Malta and to cross up to Cirkewwa which is at the northern end takes approximately 50 minutes depending how one drives. Malta is not a big island. If you google earth it you can see how big it is or small for that matter. I must add though that even though this island is small it is rich in history and culture ........ and sun too!! Good day everyone.

thats a great mountain view.
I do like your photographs. I had never heard of the lens getting foggy so it must have been super humid there and hot too. I hope the camera was not damaged.

oldmanlincoln, camera was not damaged but what happend was it was very humid and whilst I was attaching the wide lens didn't realise that the camera lens was getting damp and did not wipe it , it was only after i took the shots and was looking at them i realised what must have happened.
Thank you for your response above and also thank you for visiting my blog and commenting and asking a question about the lens settings.
The Canon cameras I have do not have settings like you described.
I use has specific stops in milimeters. So for the hawk pictures they were all set to fill the view finder if possible and then I had to focus it.
I use infinity settings only when I am shooting something like an airplane and know it must be set on that to capture the image in focus.
I don't know how to explain it properly.
oldmalincoln, thanks anyway, my best bet is to properly got through the camera's manual!! I am a trial and error type of person but sometimes I do need to get through the manuals.
great view and the fireworks look splendid ;o]
cool shots!
Thank you for visiting my website oldmanlincoln.com and commenting there. It is generous of you to want to take lessons or learn photography from me. I used to teach art and then calligraphy before the days of computers and it was all done by mail. When I think back to those days and how things are done these days, it is a big difference.
If you are serious about it let me know and I will see what I can come up with that would work both ways.
