St.Peter's Parish Church

This week is our village feast, dedicated to St.Peter. This is our local church all lit up for this special occassion. I took this photo yesterday evening after the statue of St.Peter was taken out for a procession as a start to the celebrations.

A different way of lightening up a church! I like it, at least how it's done on this church! St. Peter; normally it should be June 29th?

On my first visit to Birzebbuga Oct 1992, I asked to Parish priest if he would allow me to go right up to the very top where the bells are hung. He said OK but after the 9am Mass. So I walked up all the steps, I think I counted 160 steps. Had to stop for a rest twice. When I got up by the bells I took about 20 photos of the village. Fantastic views. You could see all the Marsaxlokk Bay and St Georges Bay. Still have the pics. I may show them in my Ptetty Bay Site.

Glad you are back Dina and Thanks to Leatitia.

Fabulous picture! I pray we in America would do more processions. How pleasing they are to God. You have a beautiful church.
